How do you save and or load saved themes that you have created, for the life of me I cannot figure it out ?
Open the ObjectDock dialog box; click on "Themes" (on the left side), at the bottom you will see "Backup".
I too thank you. I just installed OD free version. Remains to be seen how it'll work.
With OD2 you need to go to Config, then settings, then Troubleshooting Options. Click on "Open my ObjectDock settings folder so I can backup my settings" Yes, that is all on one button. Save the entire folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus and rename it. For example ObjectDockPlus.theme1 then repeat for the next theme, and so on. You should be able to replace and rename the folders to change over. I hope that made sense.
That must be a pretty big button. Can themes be done in the free version? I mean...if I create a dock can I use it in this version?
I hope so because I'm always confused. Need help to get unconfused.
I think I might be. This is the first time OD has actually worked on any machine I had. I think it was because I went on an uninstall frenzy and got rid of several apps I don't use. You'd be surprised how many. Anyway ... What confuses me about OD are the ini's. I looked the skins for the docks and that's no biggie but when I looked at the cache' that goes with the png's and saw all those numbers it kinda threw me. I admit i know nothing about OD.
I answered my own question. I dl'd Elemental Fire and copied it to backgrounds. It shows up in settings, style/color then change backgrounds. I know its not a skin but its close. so now I can at least create docks.
