Will Impulse and all it's apps (WB,IP,OD,Bootskin etc.) work with Win XP Pro x64? I'm moving to that type and I'd like to know.

You will probably have to wait until Monday for a Stardock rep to see this but I believe XP 64 bit support was stopped several versions of WB back.  The are supporting Vista and soon will support Win 7 64 bit.

Hi All...

I have just purchased WB 6 with WB upgrade 7. I also downloaded Impulse to run this. Now the Impulse setup says that there is another Impulse copy on my computer. It says cannot find impulse_setup.msi

I have uninstalled all Impulse files I can find and it still says the same thing.

What am I missing?

All help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Suanough

xp x64 is old and outdated, and at its absolute best had very limited or lackluster driver/ software support. it may be time to do an upgrade to windows 7 x64 which is pretty much flawless and the first windows os with as much if not more polish than a mac os

Unfortunately Impulse and many of our other software are not supported under XP 64.

Suanough, try downloading the following file:

http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_impulse_installer.reg

save the file and run it.  If in Firefox or a non-IE browser, you may have to go to File > Save Page as... if the link shows as plain text (if you're not sure, just follow the link in Internet Explorer).  Once you do this, try installing Impulse from the latest installer here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe
